March 27, 2006 COLUMBUS, Ind. - Sumeet Arora finished fifth among 55 individuals to lead the Lewis University men's golf team at the Parkside Invitational Saturday and Sunday. Arora opened with a 1-over-par 73 and added a 77 for a 150 total at the 6,935-yard Otter Creek Golf Course. The fifth-place performance is a collegiate career best and the second top-10 finish for the Flyer freshman. Brian Carlson (75-79=154) and Jacob Nagy (79-75=154) tied for 14th, and Lloyd Roth (77-78=155) placed 19th. Also competing for Lewis were Rob Peters, 33rd (78-82=160), and Greg Roderique, tied for 37th (85-78=163). The Flyers carded scores of 303 and 312 for a 615 total. Lewis finished fourth among eight teams overall and third among six Great Lakes Valley Conference teams. |
