Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's basketball team tries to avoid its first three-game losing streak at home since the 2005-06 campaign, as the Flyers (12-9, 4-8 GLVC) welcome GLVC North rival, Saint Joseph's (13-7, 7-5 GLVC) to Neil Carey Arena for a 7:45 PM tip-off on Thursday (Feb. 4) night.

Thursday's game will be broadcast on WJOL (1340 AM) and can also be found on LewisFlyers.com with Mark Vasko providing the play-by-play for the Lewis Sports Network, along with live stats and video streaming. The game will also be aired live on LUTN.

Head Coaches: Lewis head men's basketball coach Scott Trost is in his fourth season at the helm of the Flyers and has a record of 63-46 (.578). In 13 seasons of coaching, Trost owns a mark of 216-131 (.622). Saint Joseph's head coach Richard Davis is 62-46 (.574) in his fourth season as the skipper of the Pumas.

All-Time Series: Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 40-24 advantage over Saint Joseph's in their all-time series.

Last Time We Met: Lewis senior guard Brandon Dagans posted a game-high 29 points and six assists to propel the host Flyers to the 78-59 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over Saint Joseph's at Neil Carey Arena on February 14, 2009.

Last Time Out: Nationally-ranked Southern Indiana used a 54.1% (33-for-61) outing on the floor on their way to the 80-57 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over the Flyers at Neil Carey Arena on Saturday (Jan. 30) afternoon. Lewis' backcourt of Dennis Thomas, Jr. and Chris McClellan each scored 15 points in the loss.

From Way Downtown: McClellan has knocked down at least one three-pointer in the Flyers last 16 contests. During that span, he is shooting 44.2% (38-for-86) from beyond the arc.

Three's Company: Since the 2000-01 campaign, Lewis has made at least one three pointer in 281 straight games.

From Beyond The Arc: Thomas needs two more three-pointers to reach 100 for his career, which would place him eighth overall in school history.

Close Calls: Lewis has held second half leads in seven out of the Flyers' nine losses this season.

Spreading The Wealth: Lewis has four players averaging in double-figure points, the first Flyer team to accomplish that feat since the 2003-04 squad.

Go-To Guys: Lewis has had eight different players lead the Flyers in scoring in at least one game this season.

Dead Eye: Though he doesn't currently qualify, McClellan's current career free throw percentage of 89.2% would be a school-record. McClellan needs to convert one more charity shot to be officially recognized.

Fab Frosh: Rookie guard David Bryant is currently averaging 8.0 points-per-game, which is the most by a Flyer freshman since Brandon Dagans averaged 8.4 tallies-per-contest during the 2005-'06 campaign.

Getting To The Line: Lewis has nearly made more free throws (300) than the Flyers opponents have attempted (305) this season.

Plus/Minus: When Thomas is in the ballgame for the Flyers, Lewis is averaging 4.62 points more per game than opposing teams this season.

Bench Play: In Lewis' 12 wins this season, the Flyer bench is averaging 27.3 points-per-game. When the Flyers have lost, the Lewis reserves are only averaging 10.4 points-per-contest.

Puma Power: In two games against Saint Joseph's last season, sophomore center Marty Strus averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and shot 75.0% (12-for-16) from the floor.
