Feb. 6, 2006 ROMEOVILLE - Things just keep getting better for the men's distance medley relay team at Lewis University. Last Friday, Adrian Myers, J'ean Middleton, Mike Eck and Andy Tremble qualified automatically for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships. The squad registered a school-record time of 9:55.09, finishing second to host Kent State at the Central Collegiate Championships. "Unless there was a better performance this weekend that we're not aware of yet, our team has the top time in Division II," Lewis head coach Dana Schwarting said. The Flyer quartet has shaved almost 11 seconds off the 10:05.99 clocking that was the school standard at the beginning of the season. The group first broke the school mark and qualified provisionally for the national meet by running a 10:01.12 at Iowa State. The NCAA Division II Indoor Championships meet is slated for March 10-11 in Boston. |
