CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Lewis University's Adrian Myers bid for an All-America accolade ended in the preliminaries Friday night at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Running in heat 3 of the 800 meter race, Myers clokced a 1:51.58, missing second place by 1.21 seconds. The top two finishers in each of three heats, plus the runners with the next two fastest times regardless of heat, advanced to Saturday's final. Along with the top two finishers in each heat, the third and fourth place runners in heat 2 earned the last two spots in the final by running a 1:50.33 and 1:50.57, respectively. Myers was the only Lewis athlete to compete at the national meet. |
