DES MOINES, Iowa - The Lewis University women's distance medley relay team broke a 10-year-old school record and finished fifth at the Drake Relays. The Flyer quartet of Renee Koziol, Kelle Lederman, Kristin Johnson and Terran Wertz clocked a time of 12:06.06, shattering the previous school standard by almost seven seconds. The women's 4x200-meter relay team of Michelle Ruff, Sarah King, Ashley Butler and Angelique McNeal also finished fifth, posting a time of 1:42.88. Christine Kustra, Butler, Amanda Lewis and Angela Whalen turned in a 15th-place performance (4:17.04) in the sprint medley relay. Also competing were the women's 4x100-meter relay team of Ruff, McNeal, King and Butler (:48.36 in the preliminaries), and the men's 4x100-meter relay unit of Randy Hinton, James Knaperek, Donnie Lesnick and Austin Bailey (:43.50 in the preliminaries). |
