2007-08 Highlights: Academic All-GLVC,...was third overall in the 800-meter run (2:00.94) at the Dick Pond Invitational (Feb. 9)...was fourth on the squad with a time of 27:06 at the Bradley Cross Country Open...turned in the Flyers' fifth-fastest time of 26:24.16 at the Illinois Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships (Sept. 14)...was fourth on the squad at the Roy Griak Invitational (Sept. 29) with a time of 27:35...was Lewis' No. 3 runner at the Border Wars Invitational with a mark of 29:11.53...earned the Flyers' fourth fastest time of 34:33.85 at the 10K Great Lakes Cross Country Regional (Nov. 3).

2006-07 Highlights: Academic All-GLVC, recipient of Lewis' Delahanty Award for academic excellence among student athletes and a spring Deans' List student...was the Flyers' No. 5 runner at North Central's Chuck Carroll Cross Country Invitational (Sept. 8)...second on the cross country team at Loyola Chicago's Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational (Sept. 30).

2005-06 Highlights: Academic All-GLVC...member of the Flyers' distance medley relay team that finished second at the Indoor Chicagoland Championships (Feb. 18).

Prep/Personal: Earned three varsity letters in cross country and track and field for Maine West...three-time conference champ in the 1-mile run...was an all-state selection in the 4x800-meter relay as a junior and senior, and a state qualifier in the 4x800 as a sophomore...two-time team captain...two-time Most Valuable Runner...as a senior, was a state qualifier, conference champion and team captain, and also ran a school-record 15:26 for three miles on Maine West's course...state qualifier, conference runner-up and team captain as a junior...all-conference and team captain his sophomore year...honor roll student...son of James and Julie Ritzema...marketing major.
