2007-08 Highlights: Academic All-GLVC, earned All-GLVC Indoor Track and Field second team honors...won the shot put (51'11 1/4") at the Early Bird Open (Dec. 8)...finished second in the shot put (50'1 3/4") at the EIU Mega Meet (Jan. 19)...named the GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week (Jan. 28) for a third-place, NCAA provisional shot put heave of 52'3 1/4" at the Iowa State Open...won the shot put (53'10 1/4") at the Titan Open (Feb. 2)...captured the shot put title at the Dick Pond Invitational (Feb. 9) with a toss of 53'1" and was third in the weight throw (50'9 1/2")...placed third in the shot put (49'0") at the Chicagoland Championships (Feb. 16)...won the shot put (53' 3/4") at the Dick Pond Open (Feb. 22)...finished second in the shot put (50'9 1/2") at the GLVC Indoor Championships (Mar. 1)...took home the shot put title with a heave of 50'7 1/4" at the Truman Open (Mar. 29)...was victorious in the shot put (52' 1/2") at the Chicagoland Championships (Apr. 5)...was second in the shot put (50'0") at the Old Fashion Track Meet (Apr. 22)...claimed the shot put title at the Cougar Invitational (Apr. 25) with a heave of 50'0".

2006-07 Highlights: Earned All-GLVC honors in the shot put with a heave of 51'7" at the GLVC Indoor Championships (Feb. 24)...placed second with a season-best heave of 51'7 3/4" in the indoor shot put at the Dick Pond Open (Jan. 13)...won indoor shot put titles at the Chicagoland Championships (51'1 ¾") and the Redbird Open (49'11 ¾")...was second in the indoor shot put at the Dick Pond Invitational (51'1 ½") and ISU Open (49'3")...set a then, school-record and NCAA Provisional throw in the shot put (52'9 1/2") at the Eagle Invitational (Apr. 21)...won the outdoor shot put at the North Central Old Fashioned Meet (Apr. 25) with a toss of 49'6 ½"...was second in the outdoor shot put at the Truman Open (46'7 ¼") and Austin Peay Invitational (47'7")...was second in the hammer throw with a career-best heave of 144'11" at the Austin Peay Invitational (Apr. 7).

Prep/Personal: Transferred from Moraine Valley C.C....earned three varsity letters at St. Laurence High School...was a state qualifier in the shot put as a senior and earned third-place finishes in both the sectional and Chicago Catholic League tournament...son of Lawrence and Eileen Barnas...biology major.
