March 17, 2007 BUFFALO, N.Y. - Senior Michael Lapustin, junior Adam Brown and freshman Jared Zimmer each scored All-America honors for Lewis during the final day of competition at the NCAA Division II championships, helping the Flyer men to their best finish ever at nationals. The Flyer men finished the championships in 13th place, topping the program's previous best of 22nd last season. Brown swam to sixth in the 1650 freestyle, setting a Lewis record and earning his fourth All-America of the championships. Zimmer finished in eighth in the same race (16:01.44) to earn his first outright All-America accolade. He received All-America honorable mention on Wednesday. Lapustin collected the seventh and final All-America of his stellar career, coming in sixth place in the 200 backstroke (1:50.73). In women's action, junior Stephanie White-Olson received the first All-America of her career, earning honorable mention in the 200 breaststroke. |
