March 4, 2007 ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Swimming at a last chance meet at Ashland University on Saturday, the Lewis University swimming team set three school records and qualified two more swimmers for the NCAA Division II national championship meet in Buffalo later this month. Junior Adam Brown broke a Lewis record and posted an NCAA "A" time with a 4:34.04 in the 500 freestyle. Junior Stephanie White-Olson secured her qualifying mark with a 2:22.29 in the 200 breaststroke. She is Lewis' first female national qualifier in three years. Brown and White-Olson join senior Michael Lapustin and freshman Jared Zimmer as the four Flyers automatically qualified for the national meet. Senior Michelle Sliva broke two Lewis records at the last chance meet, swimming a 59.35 in the 100 butterfly and a 2:11.02 in the 200 butterfly. Her 200 butterfly time made the NCAA "B" threshold.
