Emily Olson, a 2009 graduate from Northern Michigan University, was a four-time member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic team and four-time Northern Michigan Academic Award honoree. She also represented the Wildcats' swimming team on the Student Athletic Advisory committee.

As a senior, she was named team captain, earned the dedication award and placed first in the 100 butterfly three times. She was part of a relay team that set a pool record in the 200 individual medley and 400 freestyle relays at the Moorhead Invitational in 2005.

Olson is pursuing her MBA at Lewis.
