Lewis' Levandi Tabbed As ITA Midwest Region Men's Tennis 'Player To Watch'

Levandi finished sophomore season with a singles record of 15-1 and a combined doubles mark of 11-5.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced on Tuesday (May 7) that Lewis University sophomore Armand Levandi (Tallinn, Estonia/Audentese Spordigumnaasiumi) has been selected as the ITA Midwest Region Men's Tennis 'Player To Watch'.

A two-time, All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection, Levandi led the Flyers with a singles record of 15-1 and ended the season on a 10-match winning streak. His only singles loss came at the hands of the No. 5 player in the country. In doubles action, Levandi was a combined 11-5.

"I am so proud of Armand, because he earned this award," Lewis head men's tennis coach Brett Bridel said. "He works so hard on and off the courts to be better for his teammates. 

"He is a true 'team' guy and a great leader for our program."
