Romeoville, Ill. – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Friday (May 17) that Lewis University men's volleyball redshirt junior
BJ Boldog (Palatine, Ill./Palatine) has been selected to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District 4 Men's At-Large Team.
Boldog, who is now eligible for Academic All-America status, owns a 3.75 cumulative grade-point-average as a marketing major. He is a four-time Academic All-MIVA and Delahanty Award honoree for academic excellence among student-athletes at Lewis.
The setter led the No. 10 Flyers to their second-straight MIVA regular season title in 2013 and finished with a 20-10 record. He also earned MIVA All-Conference First Team and MIVA All-Tournament honors this season.
Earning his second-straight American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Second Team honor this season, Boldog's 10.29 assists-per-set average places him 10th nationally and 150 digs has him fourth on the Flyers squad. He also tallied 61 kills and 75 total blocks (6 solo, 69 block assist).
