Geoff Powell (Claremont, Calif./Claremont) was named Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in the 2013 season, the conference announced Monday (March 4). Powell earned his first weekly honor on Jan. 7
th.
Powell led the Flyers with 15 kills and a career-high 11 digs in the Flyers three-set victory over the then-ranked No. 7 Ohio State to stay undefeated against MIVA opponents and extend their winning streak to 11 matches.

Dan Friend said. “They came out focused and determined and Geoff was definitely a catalyst with that.”
“Geoff had some great offensive and defensive numbers for us that ultimately put us in a position to win the match in three sets.”
The No. 8 Lewis squad (12-5, 8-0 MIVA) heads out of conference action to take on George Mason on Wednesday (March 6) in Fairfax, Va., with first serve at 7 PM ET.
