2012 ITA All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes
Romeoville, Ill. - Recent Lewis University graduate
Michael Wojnarowski (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards) (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards/Moraine Valley C.C.) is still being remembered for his work as a Flyer, as the former men's tennis standout earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete accolades for his 3.93 cumulative grade point average for the 2011-12 school year.
Wojnarowski played a key role in helping the Flyers advance to the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament with a singles record of 19-12 - primarily at No. 5 - and a combined mark of 27-8 in doubles action.
"MIke did an outstanding job of finishing so strong in the classroom last year," Lewis head men's tennis coach
Brett Bridel said.
